Hey guys, I’m back to explain Why I’m Not Really An Extreme Couponer. Don’t get me wrong, some people would say I’m extreme, I like to think I’m in [Read more…]
One of the most important things you need to do when you coupon is you NEED to change the way you shop. Instead of going to 1 store to get your groceries for the week, you will be going to multiple stores, I know it sounds like a lot especially if you work, if you have kids, but I promise it will save you hundreds of dollars. In my post How To Coupon, I spoke about CVS, Target and Shoprite, in this post I am going to explain why just these 3 stores. I go to CVS for all the toiletries and cleaning supplies – this is where we will be getting a lot of these products for free. Shoprite is for groceries and all of the other freebies. Target is for a lot of freebies and groceries. The first rule is always look at the front page of the circulars, the front page is known as the “loss lurers.” Loss lurers are what the stores are losing money on, but that front page gets you into the store in hopes to get you to spend more money. Some of you might not have Targets or Shoprites near you so just focus on the front page of the circular for which grocery store you go to, and you know you are getting a good deal.
Second, plan your meals for the week based off sale prices, for me when I’m planning my meals, I break down everything I need, sometimes you might need every single spice and condiment and that’s where Target comes in! Target is great when it comes to saving money on everyday necessities with the Cartwheel app, ( you can read that here: Target Coupon Policy) the app always has some kind of savings for meat or produce, it’s usually only 5%, which isn’t much, but why not save where you can! The app is usually also for their brands, but like I said before, if I need something Target is where I go because of the savings I can get. Third, you can’t just be loyal to one brand anymore, you need to have an open mind when it comes to couponing. If you really do prefer a certain brand over another check this site on Fridays for the Sunday Coupon Preview and you can plan in advance for the extra papers you may want to get. So there it is! I know it seems like a lot to do and I know it may be very confusing, believe me I was there once, but it is a very simple thing once you do it over and over.

Hey guys I’m back with another great couponing tip, this time it’s Doubling Coupons! Most grocery stores will double manufacturer coupons up to .99, it depends on which state you live in, there are a few non doubling coupon states, and there are also some states that triple coupons!
