DIY Sleep Balm
25 Days of Christmas, Day 19
Hey guys, I’m back with another easy gift giving idea made with essential oils! This DIY Sleep Balm will help put you to sleep every night! This is a much safer alternative to taking over the counter or prescription pills. I use this along with chamomile tea every night and I never have problems falling asleep and staying asleep.
This DIY Sleep Balm is very easy to make and when you wake up you won’t feel groggy at all! You could throw this into a gift basket along with these items DIY 3 Ingredients Lotion Bars, Homemade Organic Lip Balm, DIY Spiced Orange Lip Scrub, and this DIY Essential Oil Perfume.
Everyday from December 1st to Christmas day, I will be showing you all Christmas crafts, offering a free printable or a favorite Christmas recipe! Make sure to check back everyday for those posts, or better yet-sign up for my emails so you don’t miss anything! For yesterday’s post, read here: DIY Dollar Tree Picture Frame.

This recipe is enough to make a 1.7 oz tin.
If you want the exact Lavender essential oil I used, you can check out Artisan Oil’s Facebook Page, they currently do not have a website.
Boil water over high heat with a mason jar in the pan. You can use a large bowl if you prefer but I chose the mason jar because it’s less of a clean up! Beeswax gets very messy and sticky, so I use one mason jar for all my beeswax making projects.
Once the water boils, lower the heat to medium and add your beeswax. Once the beeswax starts melting a bit add the coconut oil and jojoba oil. The beeswax will take about half and hour to melt, if you’re using beeswax blocks, it’ll take longer. Carefully stir occasionally.
When all the ingredients is melted, carefully pour your melted mixture into the tins. Add your essential oils now, I like to take a toothpick and stir everything together.
Put all your tins in the fridge for about 2 hours to really let the mixture solidify. You have to heat it up a bit with your fingers, gently rub your fingers over the balm to put on. You can put this on your wrists, temples and behind your ears for a sleepy night!
