Here is such an easy way to make a bow. Have any of you been on Pinterest and looked at all those tutorials and say to yourself “hey, I can make that” and it turns out to be a BIG miserable fail?! Well, that’s me when it comes to all the bow tutorials on Pinterest!?
The steps sound a lot more complicated than it is but it really is soooo easy, I wish I had pictures to show you all of my bow failures but sadly for you I don’t! Luckily for me, I don’t have the evidence!☺️
Supplies Needed:
Burlap
Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
Step 1:
Cut your burlap to 20″ long, if you have wide burlap cut in half lengthwise.
Step 2: Once it’s cut to 20″, fold it in half only on one side then hot glue that side down, be careful doing this, I have definitely burned myself more times than I like to admit!
Step 3: Next, fold the other side down and hot glue that side down.
Step 4: When both sides are glued, flip your bow over and pinch the top and bottom of the bow together. I like to make two creases with the bow, you can see it in the picture below. That’s the bottom getting pinched to make one crease. Add hot glue there.
Step 5:
Now take the top part of the bow and pinch again and add hot glue.
Step 6:
Now your bow should like this.
Step 7: Take your bow on the left side at the edge and fold it in by 1″. Look in the picture below at Step 8 because that’s a much better picture of what you should be doing! When you fold it in glue it down.
Step 8:
Do the same thing as in Step 7 but to the right side and also glue it down.
Now you have a bow that looks like this:
You can add tails to the bow if you want but I didn’t want to cover up the picture and that also gets too complicated and fancy and that’s when it becomes a BIG fail!?
