I made this on a quick whim for the Christmas brunch I’m hosting for my kids and their friends. I invited a bunch of their friends to come over in Christmas PJ’s to watch a Christmas movie and eat popcorn and drink hot chocolate! How fun is that?! We had so much good food! I will definitely be posting those recipes soon, so make you guys check back!
Well, anyways this was also made from supplies found in the dollar spot at Target, yes, I have a major obsession with Target’s dollar spot! The crate was from there for only $3.00! The mason jars I already had, but if you don’t have them you can find at the dollar store, any big box store or any craft store.
The ribbon I chose for the mason jars came from the dollar spot also, it came in a package with burlap banner, red & black ribbon (the one I chose) burlap ribbon, red & burlap checked ribbon and twine, it was $3.00 for all of this. The ribbon came with 6 of each, sorry but I don’t have a picture of the package because my kids got to it! I had to use 2 ribbons for each jar.
I first laid out the ribbon and hot glued the ends together, it made it easier to do it this way!
Then I slowly wrapped the ribbon around the top of the jar working in very small increments to make sure it was even.
Be careful with this step, I can’t remember how many times I burned myself! After I finished all 3 jars, I put utensils into each jar, then loaded the crate with napkins and plates!
Just in case you can’t see what the crate says, it says “Northpole Express”, Target did have another option available but I can’t remember what it was!
That’s it! I think that is so cute for the Christmas brunch!
As usual, if you guys have any questions or comments please feel free to email me or comment in the box below and I will get back to you as soon as possible! Happy Crafting and Merry Christmas!
