This is a cute DIY Fall craft with supplies found in the dollar section at Target, I was at my local Target recently and saw how many cute Fall and Halloween stuff they have in the dollar section, I couldn’t resist but picking up a bunch of things! It is just a “thankful” gift tag mod podged onto cardstock, and clipped onto a mini clipboard. If you don’t have mod podge, don’t worry, read below for a DIY mod podge recipe! This is also a great craft to get the kids involved in, you can have them write their gratitudes out, but I have another great craft coming soon with all of that, so be sure to check back soon!
Here is what you need:
Mini Clipboard $1.00, Target Dollar Section
Kraft Fall Gift Tags 6 ct $1.00, Target Dollar Section
Foam Brush $1.00 Craft Stores (can also find in Target)
Mod Podge $12.00 Craft Stores (use 50% off Michaels’ Coupons!)
Cardstock 12 Pages, $3.00 Target Dollar Section (Yes, I know that’s expensive for cardstock, but I am a sucker for pretty paper!)
First, remove the tie off your gift tag, do not throw it out. Then take your gift tag, the one I chose says “There is always something to be thankful for”, layer it onto the cardstock, then the clipboard to see where you want everything to be, measure everything then cut.
Next mod podge the gift tag onto the cardstock, after that clip the cardstock onto the clipboard, and take your gift tag tie and tie it at the top of the clipboard, easy peasy!
DIY Mod Podge Recipe:
Equal amounts of white glue (Elmer’s) and Water mixed in a container.
I personally don’t like homemade mod podge because I find it gets too bubbly, but it’s worth trying if you don’t want to spend the money on mod podge.
